I think that it would be pretty cool if nascar added:

1)  earnings from races.
2)  rookie of the year
3)  using money towrard buying new engines
4)  pit stops like on the indy game (where you decide what to do and leave
5)  chasis points

another suggestion would be to add driver injuries..say you hit the wall
real hard you get injured and it hampers your driving style(i.e. harder to
drive)or maybe knocks you out of a few races..then you would have to get
relief driver, etc.. just add this to the list :)
