Speed Problem with GPL and Notebook

Hi guys,

maybe somebody from you can give me a hint for my problem.

By the way is there any FAQ for GPL related questions which is up to date
(like problems with XP) ?

After problems with crashing back to the desktop, installing GPL on a
FAT32-partition worked. I had GPL running on my desktop even on a
NFTS-partition. What is the reason why it didnt work this time ?

But the main problem is that GPL runs too fast on my Targa Visionary
XP-Notebook with AMD Mobile XP 2,2GHz+ and ATI RADEON 9000 Mobile.
I allready tested the CPU-Fix from Papy but after that the game is in slow
motion.

Is there any possibilty to adjust this patch ?

Thanks for your answers in advance.
Best regards,
Marcus Bletz

there is a patch called cpufix(or cpupatch something similar) at papy
that addresses this.

Probably not the most helpful response Dave ;-)

There's no way to 'calibrate' the CPU patch, and there should be no need.

I'm guessing that maybe the patch didn't get applied for some reason. Could
be files set to read-only maybe. You need to apply the 1.2 patch for the CPU
patch to work.

As far as NTFS goes, just allow indexing on the gpl folder & it'll run fine.
Apart from sound issues with some cards, that's the only real issue with
running gpl on XP (or win2k). Bit of a short FAQ ;-)
