Need for Speed & VESA Cards

Hi there!

I recently obtained the NFS demo (the larger version) as  the
coverdisk from PCPower magazine.  However, it failed to run on my
machine, with an error message about failing to find a VESA driver.
Does this demo require a VESA card to run, and will the final release
also require such hardware? Is there anyway that I can bypass this on
my system?

I have a 486DX-66 with 8M RAM, and SB16 setup.

Please help.

I run the game on an identical setup - 486DX-66 with 8M Ram and SB16 I
have not experienced too much trouble running it through.

If not, the UNIVESA driver should work, it's included with most games now.
