V2000 Cards & 83 MHz bus speed

V2000 Cards & 83 MHz bus speed

by Steve Gare » Wed, 25 Mar 1998 04:00:00

I have an Aopen AXT3-1 MB with an AMD K6 233 and an Intense 3D V1000 card.
Indyfast runs great at 3.5 x 66 MHz but freezes at 3 x 83 MHz. Also VNU's
benchmark final reality crashes at 83 MHz. All 2D apps run fine at both bus
speeds so I conclude that maybe the V1000 doesn't like 83 MHz bus.

Anyone with a V2x00 card got it to run OK at 83 MHz bus speed? If so I may
get one of these.

Cheers

CARTREND to work with the DSII but CARTFAST just gives me a black screen.  the
program loads and runs, I can hear it but I can't see it...ANYONE???

Mine does the same thing, I have tried all the tricks (the batch files, the
v2dos fix stuff, etc.)  to make it work and at best I can get it to run
CARTREND with screwed up mirrors. Given the fact that not much support is
forthcoming for the rendition cards (especially from Diamond) my next card
will be something without a rendition chip on it. And it won't have
Diamond's name on it, either.
