I have been reading, but not posting to my own thread
until I found one piece of information.
My motherboard is probably capable of supporting a pair
P3-1000!
So... I think it's worth $280.00, plus shipping, for
two.
This sounds like a whole new situation. I know, a Gig
isn't exactly cutting edge, but it's a nice round number
that makes this soon to be "other" machine even more
viable for continued service.
So, does this change the discussion of the video cards
this PC can exploit?
Yes, 2D is critical, I make my living off this machine
writing programs. If I have to compromise, I have to
choose the best text over the best 3D performance.
