Best video card for NASCAR SVGA?

by Philip Ye » Tue, 06 Jun 1995 04:00:00

Hi,

Does anyone know what is the best PCI video card for a P90 - P100 for running
NASCAR SVGA and the upcoming INDYCAR 2.0 SVGA?

How about a generic PCI card based on the TRIO 64 chip made by S3?  Perhaps
a MATROX Impression Plus, Diamond Stealth/Viper or Number 9 series?  Obviously
the generic PCI based on the TRIO 64 is the cheapest so I would like to hear
comments on that card, since that is probably the one I can afford.  :-(

Also, does 512K secondary cache make a difference in NASCAR/INDYCAR compared to
using the standard 256K secondary cache?  Is it worth upgrading from 256K to
512K?

Thanks in advance.

Phil
