Hi all..

I was just wondering : after having played the demo for a mere 5 min (which
was honestly ALL I could take)
I uninstalled it...

I was expecting very much of this title

The Question to you guys is :

Who will buy the Game after having played this demo ?
I definitely answer : NO

Unless they re-program every line in the physics-routine
(which must probably be 3 lines long at the moment)

I'll side with the NO's on this one. For several reasons, not the least of
which is the demo crashes on my system.

No I won't..

TRD demo was the most annoying piece of software my PC ever experienced..
heck! TIR is a fantastic sim compared to TRD.

Ofcourse I won't buy it. The idea was great, when I saw the list of
included tracks and cars I was impressed, but when I played the demo
yesterday I vommited over my keyboard.

I know it's going downhill with the sim racing world, but this is
getting ridiculous :(

so many people wanted this to be good,  but as it is 80% finished and only 1
month away from going gold, I wont be wasting my hard earned on this title.
At best its a keyboard handling arcade game with some new interesting
features.  some work and some really don't,  on my p4 2.7 and gforce 4200
clocked with 512 of ddrram its blocky and not smooth with a wheel but is
with the keyboard (something strange there).  All in all the demo has pissed
me off and I would of been happy to wait for the final as I might of been
sucked in to buy it.

Now all my hopes of a good sim racer is on racing legends.  Don't let us
down!!!!!!!!

And then again (and I mean this) :
Netkar is a 100 times better than TIR, Stefano !!!

I'm holding my opinion for the finished version.  Why?  I feel that the
problem with the demo is related to controller code, not to physics.  Can't
prove it until I play a demo with properly working controller code.
Besides, even if the PC version sucks, it will probably still make a good
Xbox game.

I have both a LWFF wheel and a PS2 controller with a USB adaptor to run on
the PC and the game is so squirrelly, so f-ing twitchy, so undriveable that
it's hard to believe!

I tried playing around with the wheel settings, deadzone, etc, etc but to no
avail, you can't control the car for shit! At the "test" at Monza it was a
struggle just to keep it off the walls, but at Brands Hatch, FORGET IT!!! I
couldn't even make the first corner without the car fish-tailing all over
the place!

The gamepad was a bit better, but it was still completely un-drivable!

Codemasters,

I hope to hell you have someone from your Q/A department monitoring feedback
on this forum because I can't see why they would let this turd slip out the
door, even an 80% done demo!

What an embarrassment!

"Codemasters has a turtle head pokin' out and it's startin' to crown!"

The control in this demo is the worst I've ever experienced in a driving
game.  Something is SERIOUSLY wrong with the controller code as Haqsau first
pointed out.  If this goes out the door without being fixed then the PC
industry will set a new standard for shit QA.  You know it won't be this
poor on the Xbox, why is PC QA any different.  Too easy to release chum in
the wild-west world of PC ***.

I am still staring at my computer with the "deer in the headlights" look.
What happened? Is Codemasters gone off the deep end? Well back to Medal of
Honor for now.

Like you I was expecting good things of this title but having played the
demo for about 5 mins I have to say that it is a big ,big disappointment,
the car handling is appalling.................sorry codemasters but it needs
to be better.

The handling in "sim" mode on the PS2 version is pretty decent,
actually. So I am assuming that they will fix the problem before
releasing the game. But I am not buying until I hear that things have
been fixed.

Well, let me put it this way.  The TRD demo made CPR look like GPL.  Yeah, it's
that bad. :)
