the IRL game doesn't suck! It's already void of 'Net play
and that's bad enough.
I can't even steer the car in this demo.
CMR2 and TOCA2 have been OK but this junk.

The handling isn't anywhere near as good as the average arcade game these
days. TOCA 2 was wayyy better. Very disappointed by Race Driver demo.
Who IS It aimed at? The average gamer isnt going to like the wierd physics
either. Not sure how they'd pan out on a console - but they're just totally
beyond comprehension. A race fan isnt going to like the ***cut scenes. An
RPG player isnt going to like the bit BETWEEN the Cut Scenes.

Not sure if it's the same on the PC version as it it on the PS/2 version,
but...
There was a huge issue with TOCA Race Driver (as it is here in Blighty)
insofar as depending on what country you were meant that you had a car with
or without damage or sim handling or either.
The upshot was that it was discovered that if you put the cheat code (is it
in the demo?) of "Sim" and turned that on the handling improved massively,
and as I'm sure you've figured out, "damage" gives realistic damage
modelling in the game.
It made a huge difference for some, but interestingly my early release
version in the UK (i.e. I had it on pre-order) was sim handling and real
damage straight out of the box....
And, once into it, it it is a fantastic game!
IIRC the US version was arcade and no damage, which I think is unfair on you
guys (if that's where you're at).
