Hi  guys, Looking for a little help.
Went to a computer show today and got a new case w/
a 400w p/s, Asus P4P800S mb, P4 3.2 cpu & 512mb of 3200 ram. I want to
switch out my old hard drive,videocard,soundcard,cd rom & cd burner and
install them in the new box. My main question is do I have to reformat my
hard drive. If so how do I go about it?
I've installed videocards, soundcards, memory, network cards & cd rom's but
never a hard drive.
I'm running XP pro. Any help or sugestions(I know I cant spell) you guys
might have would be appreciated.

I would just install the old hardware in the new case and boot it up.  Have
your driver disks handy.  XP should have no problem recognizing the new
system and asking for the proper drivers.

You might want to install the hardware a little at a time too.
I.E... hard drive and video card first, then cd drives, then sound card.
This would help you to avoid or identify possible hardware conflicts.
