Well I sprung for a new machine and now I can't get either Rendition
version of Nascar2 to run. I've tried about all I can think of and am
considering returning the motherboard. Any suggestions would be
appreciated.
My problem is: Renddma, N2Rend, and Indysafe all freeze at the track.
Indyfast seems to work fine.
My computer: ASUS P/I-P55T2P4 Motherboard with 512K cache
32 M EDO RAM
Intel Pentium MMX 200 MHz processor
Intergraph Reactor Video Card
PCI Ethernet Card (Ovislink)
Generic 33.6 P&P Modem (USR commands)
Sound Blaster 16 MCD with 2X CD Rom
Note that N2 normal, Multi and Indyfast all run fine. I have tried
disabling Video Caching, Video Shadowing, Video snooping, external cache
disabled, various PCI features enabled and disabled, various PCI
latencies, 60 & 70 ns memory settings, etc. I have updated the Reactor
Bios and drivers to the latest, and have run without the Ethernet card
in the box. In all cases for N2, I get to the practice menu, go about 5
feet and it freezes. Thanks for any suggestions. I haven't looked at
the MB Bios version, so I guess I'll try that next.
Note, I hoped to have new benchmarks posted here by now, but it's not
looking good right now <Sad G>.
