GPL-TCIP modem disonnects

Can someone help me on this problem?

Im trying to play GPL using VROC or SPyboy. When i join a race and load up
GPL and goto
multiplayer (making sure my IP address is correct and Host is correct) and
click on the GREEN light,
my system will lock up. Hard reboot required!! I can host a race with no
lockups or race by myself with no problem. (got a P2 450mhz/sblive/voodoo2
setup).

I just cant beleive im the only person with this problem.....Thanks for any
advice...

Don't know that I have any advice to offer, but I can tell you that you're
not the only person to encounter a similar problem, with disturbing
regularity.

When using Spy Boy, I frequently find that my system locks when
clicking on the green light, just as you described, but only after I have
hosted at least one race. The problem never occurs offline or when racing
online without Spy Boy.

My curiosity is directed at how the portion of Spy Boy that remains resident
interacts with the system and or GPL. Do you place hooks, Larry, that allow
you to re-open the main Spy Boy window?

Another thing that I've found, is that if you attempt to Alt-F4 out of Spy
Boy while the Chat window is being populated (for example, when returning
from a host session), Spy Boy locks and must be killed from the Task List.

Hope these things can be cleared up, because Spy Boy is certainly a nice
piece of work!
