GPL Demo- Modem dialling out..../ V2 problems...

I don't know wtf Is happening, but when i try and load and run GPL on my
PPro200/CL V2/64MB ram, but my modem dials out and connects to the internet.
Is GPL making a winsock call in it's start up routine?

And then there is the charming V2 problems, and the stupid need to recalibated
your joysitck each time, even when using Direct Input over "optimsied joystick
driver"

In short i've seen today some tips whcih should allow me to try with V2.

Are we waiting for  3Dfx to deliver new Reference Drivers?

Andway it works fine on my 166+V1 card at work, but the V2 problems at home
suck:)

I had the same problem as well, it would dial my internet provider as well,
and I would have to use the direct input driver for my Joystick, and
recalibrate everytime.  I use Internet Explorer 4 and I had the active
Desktop on.  I turned off the active desktop and the next time I started
GPL, it did not dial my ISP, also I was able to use the optimized joystick
and It held the Joystick settings.
