I'm having the same problem. Another reply to a similar note in this thread said
it has to do with registration-Sierra games automatically trigger the dial-up
until you send them their precious marketing data! So I registered, couldn't
access their site, printed out the registration, and the game setup (where you can
choose registration) says I have registered. Yet the dial-up still starts! I can
stop it by pressing "enter" once or twice at the main screen in the game, BUT
after exiting the game I can't get onto the internet-dial up says another program
(GPL) is dialing!! Restarting the computer solves that, but who needs this
aggravation. Sierra won't help - they say they don't know about demos, yet to me
this could well be a bug in the programming which ends up in the final version, as
its in their own registration program, not GPL.
Anyone out there know how to modify that file to stop this??
