There was an AI fix for Taladega, I think, to keep from getting hit in
the pits and some other stuff.  Look at http://www.racesimcentral.net/ .

Nascar 2 realism?

I was running a race at Richmond the same day that I installed N2. I
thought I'd try the "realistic" setting. I was running a 25 lap race at
I think %85 on the opponents. With 4 laps to go I goofed up and hit the
turn 4 wall. I got the "we got major damage on the right front" message
from the crew chief. The car pushed real bad, but I had a big lead and
came home 1st by about 10 seconds. When the picture of my car in the
winners circle came up there was NO right front wheel! I checked the
replay and it was the same there! I ran the last 3 1/2 laps with only 3
wheels and still won.

Realism is a very indefininate term.<G> But N2 it still the most
realistic in about all the areas of a game.

"Realism" is racing opponents set to 85%? Geez, step up to the plate and
give yourself a challenge, let those bad boy AIs run where they're going
to give you a little more of a run for your money, then decide how
realistic it is.

Nascar 2 realism?

Considering I haven't really played Nascar1  enough to "turn pro", and
the fact that my steering wheel and pedals were still in storage and the
fact that with my P75 with 16 megs of memory requires me to turn the
detail on N2 down so far that it is difficult to see where to turn in
and brake , running at 85% was not much of a cakewalk!

On a few of the short ovals on Nascar1 I was running 95 to 100%
opponents. But as I indicated in the previous message, I had the N2
program a whole 15 minutes before I did the race in question.

I'm not quite good enough to install a new program and set it up to 100%
opponents before I even bring up a track to see what the graphics look
like and how it will run on my machine!

BTW! Due to program size and sluggish performance, N2 is off my HD until
I can upgrade! I do like the program though and am looking forward to
running it in a proper manor. And I did get up to 94.95 mph at
Martinsville and 97% opponents before I uninstalled. (with all 4 tires
that is!<G>)
