GP2 Realism

Anxiously waiting for the arrival of GP2, I began to wonder how realistic the game is/will be, when compared
to a real F1 car. Do the designers actually consult F1 drivers, or maybe drive F1 cars themselves, or do they
just imagine what an F1 car should feel like. I suppose that it could be possible to approximate the feel using
some kind of mathematical and physics formula, but is that what the game makers do? It's really not that
important, since I'll probably buy the game anyways, but I'd like to know how close the simulation will be to
the real thing. If anyone knows anything about his, or if the designers happen to read this, maybe they could
explain some things to me.

Thanks,

Wit.

Apparently Geoff Crabben is into the physics side of things (I read that
in a mag once) so he must be interested in getting the model correct.
Also I believe he's been consulting with real F1 engineers so their
feedback should make it much more realistic.  Check out:

for some great screenshots of GP2.  In particular there's one with the
*advanced* car setup screen.  The settings for each tyre are:
  -packers (in mm)
  -damper fast bump
  -fast rebound
  -slow bump
  -slow rebound
  -spring (in lb/in)
  -ride height (in mm)
Also looks like GP2 will include anti-roll bars.  Needless to say, our
man Geoff *has* been busy for the last three years!

Can't wait for the game! :)
