SCCA:Which Sim@Which Mode Best Models...

...the "feel" of racing a real SCCA Showroom Stock or Improved Touring class
car?

I'm not really concerned with the vehicle specs or even the type of vehicle
matching one of those categories, just looking to see what the feel of
actually being on the track with one of these cars would be like.

Oh yeah -- I hope it is GPL, SCGT, ICR, GP2, MGPRS2, Soda, or N99 so I don't
have to go buy anything else!

Also, what mode, like GPL F2 or SCGT G3, for example.

For showroom stock cars, that'd be the GTQ class in SCGT.

Hmmm...good question.  I run IT at Mid-Ohio, running roughly 1:50 laps.
Most any IT or SS car will run 1:47-1:58 range.  I haven't played
anything that compares to it.  GTQ in SCGT wouldn't be bad, but you
don't have many Club Racing circuits to run.  The best I can think of is
using the TPTCC99 patch with N99.  Something else you could do is add
restrictor plates on them to take away some power.  You'll still have
too much relative grip, but that's the closest experience to Club
Racing, IMO.  Plus, you can practice on several tracks the SCCA uses.

Hope this helps.
