I'm a huge Nascar sim fan but this is my prob....I have a 125 mhz with 40 MB
ram with no 3d card.....Any suggestions on which 3d card I should get to enjoy
N1999? I'm not looking to invest to much in this older system..But I want to
enjoy this as much as the other Nascar games...

Well, ive had n2 for 2 years on my Pentium 166...and just got my new PII300
with a hercules Thriller 3d and a Diamond Monster 2....tell you the
truth...I really cant see much of a difference between the 2 when talking
about this old game(n2/N99) So my honest advice would be tosave your money
for a new system.That 125 aint gonna cut it with Nascar2000, and your REALLY
missing out on GPL right now. You wouldnt believe the physics that game has,
and how dumpy it makes Nascar 1999 look.
So save for a PII system with a 3d card instead of investing anymore in that
machine.

I agree with JT, but you might want to look at the 3dfx Banshee cards you can get them for under$100 after rebates and they have 3dfx support.

Hercules Thriller 8 meg, papy sims are written for this chip so it works great.

That will be in Nascar 2000, the next generation Papyrus Stock Car sim based
on the GPL software engine.
With the troubles at Papyrus, any new product make me wonder if they will be
in the business at we know it. We can only hope, and that the Russians learn
about Stock Car Racing fast!!

Now instead of Russians it's Frenchies ;)

Cendant sold their software division, so you might see some changes
(hopefully on the good side) with the whole Sierra Sports architecture and
the Papyrus Design Group. But at least in France racing is popular ! ;-)
