OK -- Now that I've re-installed my Radeon Drivers and did some other
tweaks, LFS now freezes up as soon as you enter a menu.  I recall the
early versions of the LFS demo didn't work on Radeons until you did some
sort of tweak.  (I believe that something had to be de-activated).

Can anyone bring me back up to "speed" on what I have to do to get it to
work with my Radeon 8500LE again?  (Yes, I have the latest patch
installed for LFS).

Using a Google search, I found that Hardware T&L has to be turned off in
order to run the LFS Demo on a Radeon.  Well, for anyone reading through my
other thread here today (about an extremely low 3dMark2001 score), that led
me to a "Eureka!" moment.   Since I couldn't figure out how to re-enable
T&L, I used GoBack (Thank God for that utility!) to revert my hard drive
back to where it was before LFS stopped working.  That meant going to a
point before I re-installed the VIA 4 in 1 drivers and the updated video
drivers.  Sure enough -- Now LFS worked again, but my 3D Mark score was
below 4000 again.

Of course, the reason for that is -- If LFS is working, that means Hardware
T&L is disabled, which naturally results in a very low 3DMark score.  DUH!

So, my question is -- How do I enable/disable hardware T&L on my Radeon
8500LE?  I know that I disabled it somehow in order to get LFS to work about
6 weeks ago.  However, for the life of me, I can't recall how I did it.  I
have Rage 3D Tweaker installed, but I don't see an option for Hardware T&L
anywhere. Can anyone help?

I don't know, nothing anyone has suggested to me has made the
slightest of difference. I get 1fps wether in menus or trying to play
the game. I would relly like to play this game, but so far have been
dissapointed. :(

Try either Raid on Tweaker or Radeonator. Both have options for H T&L.
This made no difference to my copy of LFS when I toggled it myself.

In Rage3D Tweak this is called 'TCL Hardware' (you'll find it in the '3D
DirectX' tab). Besides that, I think you need to restart your PC after you
change this setting.
