I just was browsing some "Buying a High-End Computer" site and they were
talking about the ATI Radeon card, and how it's better than a GeForce 2! I
have never heard of this thing before, and was always under the impression
that ATI sucked.... anyway, whats the story with this card??

I have only heard of a few lucky people that could get an ATI adapter
of any type working with GPL in anything other than Win2000.

The new ATI card performs very well in 32-bit and higher resolutions.
However, I still think the GeForce is the most versatile and powerful 'all
around' card.

However, if you like all the 'goodies'... ATI is known for that and they
are producing an "All-in-Wonder" version of this card which again, is nice
if you have a need/want for all the extras.

Otherwise... buy a nice stable ASUS GeForce 2 <VBG>

my 32mb ati rage fury works fine in GPL at 1047x768
I turn off silly shit like the clouds and the steering wheel but thats about
it.

What OS are you running GPL and ATI in? Which drivers and are you
using OpenGL or D3D patch?

Does the Radeon make your graphics whiter than white? I suppose their next
card will be the Radeon Ultra and then the Radeon Colourfast, which doesn't
fade your monitor picture over time. ;)

(btw if you don't get this, Radeon is a washing powder where I live!)
