3D Card Add-on Upgrade

Advice please -
I have a Pentium 166 - NOT MMX and NOT UPGRADABLE - 32 meg ram - Matrox
Millenium 4meg -
Nascar2, ICR2, GP2 are all acceptable, but I would like to improve
performance - I`m contemplating an add-on 3D card, ie Orhid Righteous,
Diamond Monster, Videlogic Apocalypse - Will any of these help? -
Should I consider a new 3D Card to replace my Matrox? - ie Creative Labs
3D Blaster, Sierra Screamin 3D, Matrox Mystique - Will any of these
help?

Thanks in anticipation
John

Well, The 3DFX cards won't help any of the sims you mentioned. The Matrox
Mystake won't do anything for them either. You need to get a Rendition
based Video Card for N2 and ICR2 , but I think one of the Rendition based
cards doesn't offer the ICR2 upgrade.

Of course GP2 doesn't utilize any 3d support

It's the Creative Labs 3D Blaster that doesn't offer ICR2. Avoid it if you
want Indycar 2!

You can accelerate icr2 using the 3dblaster by copying the spd3d.uc file
from N2 into your icr2 directory, and d/l the indycar.zip patch from the
rendition site. I get 30fps-full detail-full grid,
on my p166-hx-48mb rig using the indyfast exe. You dont get all the
enhanced tracks, but ya sure get the speed.<g>
