It's been my experience that when a video card is overheating you
will see anomalies on the screen lines/dots etc, but when computers
completely freeze this is usually a memory problem or an overheating
CPU. In most cases with AMD CPU's it is the CPU. Make sure that you
have a good quality heatsink/fan and that it is mounted properly to the
CPU. Sometime OEM's will use thermal tape between the CPU core and
heatsink for heat transfer. In my opinion this is not a good solution and
you should use a good thermal grease/compound between the two.
A good place to start is www.coolerguys.com for cooling solutions and
they also have a good write up on mounting heatsinks if I remember right.
Also make sure that you have good airflow through you're computer case.
All the CPU cooling in the world doesn't do any good if you don't get the
heat
removed from you're computers case :)
Good Luck, Regards

Are you running the GF2 with 4x AGP? If so, try knocking it down to 2x in
the BIOS. I have the same problem and have never been able to find a
solution to it even though everyone tells me it should work at 4x AGP. Weird
stuff, man.
