My system:
AMD K6 350
128 MB RAM
SB 16
Diamond SpeedStar A50 with 8MB RAM
TM NASCAR Pro Wheel/Pedals

1.  N99 tends to lock up on me late in a long race--right after lots of hard
drive activity.  Nothing like fighting through a couple of hundred laps with
my limited driving ability, working my way up to the top ten and then having
the system lock up!  Could this be due to overheating of the soundcard, and
is it likely that installing the TM ACM card will solve the problem?  Any
other ideas?

2.  How does this video card rate?  I would consider buying another
one--particularly if it would make a difference.  Would it, and which ones
should I look at (not over $200)?

3.  Any thoughts on the ACM card?

Hard drive activity....  sounds as if you have a program that is kicking
in and doing some extensive hard drive work.  Do you have MS Office
installed?  There is a "fast find" applet that maybe running and it is
scanning your hard drive for files.   Try shutting down all programs
running before launching N99.  CTRL-ALT-DEL and then start ending tasks
that are not needed for your system.
