Got help with N2 and steering problem

: Thanks everyone for your generous suggestions, all of which I tried without
: success.  I did however see some improvement by switching to joystick instead
: of wheel on the controls screen.  I finally got what I think is the answer
: from some kid at Office Max while attempting to determine their software
: return policy.  He claimed to be a *** expert.  Well let's so what you all
: think of the proposed solution.  I have my T2 wheel hooked up to the game port
: on my sound card.  He reported that the wheel is the equivelant of having two
: joysticks through the sound card which isn't really designed for it like a
: game controller card is.  Does that make sense to anyone?  He suggested that I
: try running the game with the keyboard or a joystick as a test.  I ran it with
: the stick and it seemed to work much better.  I would however like to get some
: confirmation from someone in case it is doesn't make sense and it's just me
: wanted so much to see some improvement.  Thanks again for all of your replies.

There are a couple of factors to consider.  One is the brand/model of
your soundcard.  Some soundcards have a better joystick component than
others.  Another factor is the speed of your CPU & bus.  You may be a
candidate for a game controller card.  If so I would suggest getting
Thrustmasters ACM card.
