N2 Reversed Steering Problem

by Randy Johnso » Fri, 07 Mar 1997 04:00:00

Has anyone seen and knows a fix to my fine problem.  In Nascar2, run
form MS-DOS, has reversed steering.  The funny thing is that I also have
Nascar 1 and ICR II and they both work perfectly when run in MS-DOS.  I
also have to use the N2.bat file to race because N2REND.bat (for my
Rendetion based Screamin'3D card) crashes as it enters a track.

I have a Thrustmaster T2, and my computer is Packard-Bell Pentium 100
mHz, 16mb RAM, and I have the Screamin'3D video accelerator board.

I've had the game for 2 weeks but haven't been able to enjoy it and
haven't gotten a response to my e-mail to Sierra's support dept.

Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to offer.

Your Packard Bell MB might not support the DMA bus-mastering needed to
run in renddma,

Randy,

Make sure when you set controls for the T2 in N2 (boy is that a
mouthful) you steer to the left ONLY.  If your T2 still runs backwards
after this, then try steering to the right only as you set controls.

God Bless,
Steve

If you have Nascar 1 working fine with the controls, copy controls.cfg
file from your nascar1 folder and put it in your Nascar2 folder. This
should fix the problem
