I am pretty much computer illerate. I have downloaded the converter but have no
idea what to do with it. I think I got a track called Cleveland as well. I have
all previous Papy discs. Is there a primer anywhere on how to use the utility?
Dan
I can just about manage WG, but can not get Sears Point at all. I
s'pose that's moot as you've already raced these tracks, yes?
When is a weekend's track usually determined? I'd like to log as much
time as possible pre-race, and that can be difficult with family
commitments. Wednesday evenings are usually my best chance...
BTW, where's the source of these converted tracks?
Cheers,
Mark

Eldred has meanwhile decided against RC's in the near future, but as for the
converter, there's a readme in the archive that explains the use.
Basically, the easiest is if you have the source sim installed, unzip the
converter to a directory of your choice, start it, point it to the locations
of source and target sim using the two buttons the converter provides for
this, select a track from the list that should appear, and then click on
'convert'. You can also convert from other sims or from CD in some cases I
believe, but I won't talk about that - why make things more complicated than
necessary. For me ;-)

He then decided that any Nascar related software that doesn't have the
contingency decals or a proper paintjob for a Nascar (or worse, is lacking
both) is not worth sitting on his HD, and in an attempt to delete it
sufficiently radically to make a clear statement about Nascar related
software without proper Nascar looks, he deleted his RASCAR roster page.
Which in the end forced him to re-do the whole thing, which again in the end
wasn't all bad as the new page is nicer than the previous one.
Well, such things happen, so try to remain cool and unemotional when doing
the conversion, do not go by looks but by results, and make a backup of your
operating system before starting the converter ;-)

(do I need to mention that all of the above is a <;-) ;-) tongue in cheek >
friendly joke? :-)
Oh sure, bang on the righteous... :)
