Since we missed it, how about Texas? Best track in N2002 IMO.

I did an open race at texas a few days ago. Great track, the racing was
good with the usual papy open caveats of potentially at least two incidents
(idiots on lap one and idiots later in the race).  The top 20 drivers all
qualified within 0.8 seconds of each other (I got a 50.3 with the papy
qually setup).

A nice track to drive, much like Atlanta.  I also raced at Daytona having
spent a long time away from the SS, I was extremely frustrated by the
asthmatic performance of the car (restrictor plate racing!) not nearly as
much fun as the speedways, and texas is a really nice drive.

cheers

I was just thinking the same thing.

Coca-Cola would be good since it's not a real track.

Las Vegas.  I'll be out of town, so I didn't want to run a track I actually
*liked*...<g>

I'll second that.  Definitely my favorite track.  This is also one of
the few non-SS tracks that are regularly run on the Papy Open servers.
When run on the 4-10 servers you can quite often get a pretty good
race.

I guess coke would be all right if everyone else wants to run it, but
I view coke about the same way I view running in Arcade mode... I
prefer realism when sim racing.

Your tires don't go bad as quickly as at other tracks too.

Yes, but it's a fun diversion :)

Oddly, is scores as a SW track though!

Yup.  The best setup I have is for this track.  Its fast from the
first lap to the last lap and the tires all wear evenly.  It doesn't
get loose or too tight it stays very consistent.

Well, Texas has been nominated.  How about Martinsville?  Have they
fixed the pace car bug?

The other night on one of Papy's 0-10 servers someone had setup a
Martinsville race and about 30 people had joined.  So I said, what the
hell, who needs a good LPI and joined.  It was halarious.  I have
never seen such carnage.  I was charged with 3 incidents but was
probably involed in more like 5 or 6 but nothing major and still ended
up finishing 2nd.  I think my spotter had a stroke...

"we got trouble in turn 1"
"there's a spin in turn 2"
"there's a big mess on the backstretch"
"there's a spin in turn 3"
"there's a crash in turn 2"
"we got trouble in the pits"
"slow car up ahead"
"we got a car stopped"

... and that was the first lap.

I'll vote for Texas.  I've had enough of sharp left-handers for a few weeks
