A bit similar, John? Either is good, but can't we mix it up with a banked
track, too?
Just a suggestion :-)

We already did Phoenix as the second race after Dover.

I'll suggest Talladega since it was just run by the real drivers yesterday.
Texas or Kansas would be nice too.

Races this week:
Homestead, then Talladega.  I'm considering disabling yellows at Tally.
Opinions?

Before anyone mentions the typo, that should be Racing, not TRacing. I had
visions of 20 people sitting at their PC with a pencil and a sheet of
tracing paper there for a moment.

I had visions of 20 people sitting at McDonalds with a Big Mac sitting on a
sheet of drawing paper myself :)

Darn - I got in a right mess tracing a big Mac. My son was leading with his
rendition of quarter pounder with cheese when we decided it just wasn't fun -
why would people do it? Then we saw your second post...

Yellows is a MUST imho...
I mean thats what long races is all about..

May I suggest a 40% distance too?

Btw, just had a race at Homestead....  awfully boring track - IMHO.

Definitely leave yellows on otherwise you lose a lot of strategy elements.

In the Fast Food TRacing League, a league I race in, we have had a lot of
success with speeding up the pace car at tracks with very long and slow
caution laps. We sped up the pace car to 55mph at the Glen on Monday and it
helped a lot. Maybe you could speed the pace car up from 70mph to 100mph or
so for the Tally race.  You can do this in the track.ini file on the server
by editing this section:

[ ai_track ]
pace_merge_from_pit_line_dlong = 300.000
pace_merge_to_pit_line_dlong = 3300.0000
pace_speed_limit_mph = 70

Cheers

I have to say that I don't like the idea of changing the way the sim
works.  Damage as a reuslt of high-speed wrecks at dega often require a
lot of time to fix.  If you increase the pace speed, anyone that has to
make such a pit stop will automatically and permanently be removed from
competitive track position.
