I was just recalling endless yellow flag laps at Pocono.  I was trying to avoid
that again.  40% at Tally, huh?  We'll see.

But we didn't have endless yellow flags at Rockingham or California.

I still say leave it alone.

My vote is to leave them on too.

I say leave yellows on please.

BTW, How do you guys keep the back end from swinging around at the 1st turn
at Homestead? With the fast setup my rear wants to swing out real bad.
It seems I need to tiptoe into the turns.

What kind of times is everyone doing at Homestead?
37.931 is my best so far with the fast setup.

Doesn't matter to me as long as everybody puts in some practice time at
homestead before showing up.

Have you watched the driving lesson for homestead yet? You're probably
going into the turns too hot and trying to compensate for the speed by
braking too hard while you're turning the wheel.

Smooth on the brakes (and if you lift in time, you don't need much
brakes).  You should be doing about 120-122mph as you progress through
the turns.  Any faster, and you'll drift high.

I don't know what a 37.931 is in mph, but I'm doing consistent 143 mph
laps under race conditions.

Superspeedways is a very different game alltogether IMO...  and yellows a
big part of it as it allow us all to play abit with the strategy etc.. :)
The longer the races the better.

As a 'rule of the thumb' with regards to Yellows - I would llike them to be
'on' when the race is of such length/charather that pitting (for fuel *or*
tires) is required/wanted.  I see little point in using yellows for 10
lapper "sprint-race".

Well, in theory, you could speed up the pace car to the point where a
standard 4-tire stop causes you to go a lap down under yellow.

Also, I ran a league race at Tally on Sunday and managed to survive a
wreck with only minor damage early in the race, spent a minute fixing
my car in the pits, and then worked my way back up from 15th to 4th
before being shoved off the track again.  I was somewhat surprised to
see how competitive you can be at Tally with minor damage, considering
the new damage model.

But those track are shorter.  I was speaking from a "length of track"
standpoint...
Since most people seem to prefer the yellows, I'll leave them on...

Ok, 40% at Talladega with yellows...

I did about 20 laps earlier with a 47.479 best. I didn't have any trouble in
T1 with the rear. Just follow the ideal line using the r key. I use just a
bit of brake on entry. It definitely is the kind of track where you ahve to
tip toe through the turns unfortunately.
