does the 5500 work ok with GPL???

I had trouble with GPL when using the current Glide driver (worked a few
times, but mostly just locked up at the start of a Single Race); however,
yesterday, I installed the D3D patch available at Papyrus's site and
switched to D7 driver and it works great!  I was running w/everything turned
on, 10 cars on the track, 2xFSAA 1024x768 mode, and the FPS meter was pegged
at 36.  It looked better than I've ever seen it.  I may try 1152x864 mode
and see if that shapes up as nicely, and also 1024 w/4xFSAA.  BTW, I have a
k7v mobo & 800 Athlon, 256MB of PC133 RAM.  When a Glide patch appears, it
should run even better; and also when 3dfx releases 3dNow optimized drivers,
further improvements should be obtained.  So... I'm very happy with it!
