Upgrading for N4

I'm interested in upgrading to get more fps in N4.  I do like the picture
quality with the voodoo 5 card, but sometimes the frame rate takes a plunge.
I'm not sure weather to upgrade the processor, and keep the voodoo card, or
just change the video card to one of the new G-force cards.  I'm currently
running a PIII 550 overclocked to 825, with a Voodoo 5 card.

At 800x600 resolution with 4x fsaa, in practice mode, I get about 28fps.
When I get in a race with other cars around me, I get about 15-20 fps,
that's not very good I know!!

What do you guys think?

thanks in advance

Bump the 4x FSAA down to 2x.  Should help a bit.

Get the V5 overclocker utility and disable v-synch under D3D.   That will
help a lot.

This is easy, try 2x FSAA or disable it entirely.  For the most part, frame
rates don't get killed moving from disabled FSAA to 2x FSAA.  However, the
frame rates take a large hit going from 2x to 4x.  Try it out, you may find
that you can't tell much difference between 2x and 4x.
