Where are *these* settings?

My bad - it was supposed to be sunday noon.  I've put that in my 'drivers
meeting' message.

The controller rates for steering, throttle, brake and clutch in this
menu are only of influence for digital controllers I thought?

I have never even touched those digital settings.  I guess I should have
said the steering axis and brake axis etc...

I have heard hitting the enter button works.  I have also verified that
pushing a button on my wheel that coresponds to changing the LCD screen
works as well.  (at least for me)  You might want to try the old fashioned
method....miss your marks...and then hit every button/key to see if they
start working.

PLR file:

Half Rate="0" // 0 = super-high physics rate, 1 = normal
Tire Sampling="1" // 0 = normal, 1 = extra HAT samples (*slightly*
more accurate over sharp curbs, otherwise a waste of CPU)
Telemetry Version="0" // Version of telemetry to write out

The next one is important, as it forces clients connecting to the
server to use the same settings as the server:

Force Physics="31" // add the following to enforce server settings:
1=auto-lift, 2=auto-blip, 4=half-rate, 8=launch control, 16=collision
thresh (for example, auto-lift + half-rate = 1 + 4 = 5)

Why would you want to enfore auto-lift or auto-blip?  I guess I'm missing the
point of this setting...

Don't worry about it. Before any time was set, I couldn't plan around it.

Well, we haven't determined whether my connection is stable enough to really
compete in the races yet... ;-(

The team will take care of that. You're here to drive and bring home a good
result. Take an example from your real life counterparts! <g>

Yeah, could you post it here please, as it's a text file. I could use a
faster setup, just to see if the limit is my setup or me <g>

You're forcing clients to use the same blip/lift settings as the
server, not actually forcing them to use auto-blip or lift.  Same
thing with physics rate - if the server is setup with high-frequency
physics, clients can still connect with half-rate physics unless you
force it using that line.  Essentially you can have drivers running
completely different physics models, which kinda sucks.

Like the file says i don't understand why you would want to run the extra
HAT samples (unless you have some monster machine...my P3 700 is not real a
monster), but the super high rate physics are great.  I was playing around
with my files last night and with the high physics the ffb feels much more
certain, hard to explain other than saying the little nuances come
through..i also spin off much less...i think my pb in the RH2003 McLaren
with the comparable track patch is in the low 1:18's...almost a second
quicker than when i was running half rate physics, i'm sure some of it is
just experience, but i've also gotten it down to using a modified TC value
of 0.55 and no other aides.

My complaint about any sim is i don't feel like i'm actually driving a car,
but rather a car in a game, but with enough tweaking this may be the best
I've felt (would be nice to see that transam papy mod)

I'm not in the league, but i really would highly recommend the super high
physics, even on my P3 700 it's playable with decent graphics settings
(thanks mostly in part to a GF4200).

FWIW I'm puttering around at your pace as well.  It's good to know that I
won't be alone at the back. LOL (Assuming of course you don't get down to
those alien times as well)
