more, hehe. I'll try and make it, and actually have a setup by then too.

I'll be there sunday....
Can Pit assistance be used ?
My game often locks up when aligning my car between the pit crew. Sometimes
I 'undershoot' (I come in not aggressive enough, I guess) and then I can't
get anywhere anymore... not forward, not back... and the pit crew just
stands there doing nothing...... he only thing left for me to do is to press
esc and retire from the race.....
Anyone else has this bug ?

You have to change the LCD screen so its not on the pit options screen then
they will start working
Welcome. One thing tho'... I meant to say Saturday in my original post. The
race is Saturday noon EST. Don't allow my frazzled brain to confuse you too!

Try lowering your wheel lock until you aren't upsetting the car so
much. Also, what sort of controller settings are you using?

Just a couple of things:
1. As a thicky euro, I take it this is the same time as the RASCAR race (not
a problem if so - just wanted to be sure)
2. 'Join using F1rst' - could you clarify. I've followed the threads and
made sure I've done a NoCD update and tested joining some open races but I'm
not sure what this phrase means.
3. Will (can) the server force all cars to be of equal performance and, if
so, which particular car's performance will they be set to?
Err .. that's three, not a couple ;) Thanks again for the generosity Jan - I
appreciate it. BTW, if anyone out there involved in RasF1 objects to me
taking the Jag for this race please chip in and say so - not looking to
offend anyone.

No, it's earlier than the current RASCAR race time. Noon EST = 5pm UK time =
6pm CET.
F1rst is a utility akin to VROC which is used instead of the included
GameSpy Arcade software to connect to races. Don't look at me for any
further help, though, as I've not installed this software myself yet.
Apparently not. I think the races will run using the standard 2002 carset.
I fail to see why anyone would doubt your ability to handle a virtual F1
car.
