I noticed the Audi A4 or S4 at Zandvoort further down the page. Is it part
of some upcoming mod?
Hope it's not just a part of the scenery at Zandvoort! :)

Looks frighteningly similar to F12001 - not that that's a bad thing.

Car models are disgusting - and physics is supposed to be dumbed down.

Basically - tragic though it sounds, F1RC, F12k1 and GP3 is as good as it's
gonna get till GP4 ( I hold little hope)

Tragic

Hehe, you haven't read the GP4 preview at www.alphaf1.com I assume :)

Nuff said.

Face facts - far from one persons post a few months ago saying "we've never
had it so good" - frankly - it's never been more grim.

There are 2 titles worthly of the title Sim. One's 35 years old cars, and
ones ***y tanks.  Great isnt it?

Where'd you hear that the physics is dumbed down Doug?

That is completely wrong.

From 'a guy'

Then again - before the physics gets dumbed down - perhaps they should right
the physics engine a little more accurately so their appauling tracks dont
reduce f1 cars to bouncing wrecks around some corners.

Ian, what do you think about the GT mod? Will it work right away with 2002,
or will there have to  be made a Ver. 3 to make it compatible?
I have not purchased F1 2001 yet, because 2002 will be around soon and I
might as well wait for that. But the GT mod and ALMS mod are the main
reasons for getting the sim.

In what way was it better when there was _no_ title worthly
of the title sim?-)

As it is now, at least we who fancy 35 year old cars (and
those who prefer the tanks) have a great time.

LOL,, unfortunately 'guy' is looking at this from the wrong perspective. How
about doubling the physics sampling output, and introducing a smoothing
system that renders the 'rollercoaster' humps to a more realistic level. No
more bouncing wrecks, just on the edge skittish stiff sprung high grip
chassis behaviour.

Unfortunately no Jone. The tracks and cars are incompatible with the
upcoming release. We are in contact with ISI, and are hoping for a little
support to help with the conversion. We almost halted development of the
latest projects, but decided to forge ahead...

Cheers

I didn't read your message correctly, I thought you seriously had good
hope for GP4.
The preview at www.alphaf1.com took away the small bit of hope I had
left for GP4. It's GP3 with better graphics but all the same
shortcomings and problems.
