Too bad it's stuck with the ill-conceived chicane....

Will it work with the GTR 2002 mod?

Yes, why wouldn't it.  All the available tracks for F1 2k2 work with all
the mods.  Some are not very appropriate but they do work.  I guess I should
cover my ***a-bitt though.  If you have Nascar Thunder and If you have
tried converting those tracks, you will need a new file to replace the
original terrain.ini file and that will cause problems online.
So let me restate.  All tracks converted from sources other than Nascar
THunder, will work with GTR.  And the THunder tracks will work if you are
willing to make some additional changes.

I'm guessing the AI would be a little weird though.  For example,
running the LeMans track with FIA V3 always produced hilarious results.
In addition to the flying cars, there tended to be a lot of AI cars on
the grass on the tighter corners.

I always thought that could have been cured by changing the ai setups,
the svm files.  Indeed the FIA cars were very slipperly, but if given a
proper wing package for the FIA GT's, I thought they would have come to
grips with corners.  Since LeMans was produced by RSDG and not Simbin, I
just figured that getting FIA properly setup at LeMans was not a priority.
I think it was in the readme that the new GTR cars don't fly over the
Mulsaane Mountain anymore.  Although I have to admit, I've been too busy
with the new tracks to test this out.
