So Hasbro have said the split axis is a bug, and they will do a patch for
it. What kind of testing did this game go trhough if something like that was
not spotted. I have the game, but have to play with keys until this patch
arrives.

Do we know when this patch will be available?

A hyperstimulator and a TSW, both of them do not work with GP3 :O(

Can't you flip the TSW into 2-axis mode?  Or do you have an older one
that isn't switchable.

Hi Revved

My TSW for whatever reason seem,s to be split axis only, I have tried many
times to change it, but to no avail. So until the patch arrives I cant
really play this game as neither of my wheels will calibrate. Shame.

That a bit harsh, just use combined axis, its better than acting the martyr
with a keyboard.

Btw it gives a nice credibility to the GP3 beta testers.  What an incredible
job have they done <vbg> :)

Great! But what if he doesnt want combined axis? For suer, I dont want to, I
hate going through the hassel of going to the joystick-properties and change
my input device everytime I switch from GPL to GP3.....

But he evidently wants to play, because he said he is going to run with his
keyboard.
For me the switch is quick and easy.

This isn't true at all and you damn well know it. I have been a
beta tester for several games. They report bugs and stuff.
But something like this is not a bug, but rather a design feature.
There is also no guarantee the programmer will fix *ANY*
bugs that might get reported. So blaming the beta testers
is totally uncool as far as I am concerned.

Good point Greg. I know for a fact that 50+% of the bugs and missing
features a lot of Motocross Madness 2 beta testers reported (time
after time) went on deaf ears.....  No reason to think this doesnt happen
with many (most) games. . .

All the best,
Lorne

This is a disgrace, I have spent nearly 2 hours trying to get my seperate axis
pedals and clutch to work with GP3, now I understand there is a bug in  the control
software...!!!!  Any qaulity sim these days will support seperate axis pedals and
any qaulity beta testers would use them and have found/reported the bug...I use
seperate axis and have beta tested s/ware using it.  Blimy, evan GP2 had seperate
axis... and the set-up was a dream.  Looks like like we have been had!!!  Geoff has
lost the plot!!  THANK GOODNESS WE HAVE GPL!
My intial thoughts are that GP3 is just GP2 with weather and 3DFX...and bugs. GP2
was very good for 1996... but this is 2000, I think I will get my money back
tomorrow!
I never used to beleive in warez s/ware... but as there was no demo for this GP3 (I
see why now!)... perhaps there is a case for trying (warez) before you buy!

To think we waited years for this... thank goodness I only wasted 29.95

I certenly hope it will come asap, A feature like this is unacceptable for a
game with this potential.
