LOL, I'm so used to the spell checker in Netscape catching the obvious
typo's that I hardly ever proof read anymore, bad habit, I know,
especially in a NG frequented by Bruce and Bart, the dynamic duo :-)))

Seriously though, I think even our US friends kept the name on this one,
as they have with most Jag's over the years I believe, guess even they
know a great car when they get a chance to drive one.... :-)

I loved those cars in the green livery they ran in the Bathurst races,
and being run by TWR, they looked simply awesome as you'd expect

Beers and cheers

If you haven't seen it yet...SCGT car builders have produced the Mk 8
McClaren in all it's orange glory. Funny, when the modern-day Mclaren
unveiled it's new car last year, the WEST sponsorship wasn't finalized
yet, so they debut'd the car in traditional McClaren Orange...I was
suprised to find that the new car didn't 'Look' right in the old color.
(of course I still think current F1 cars are some of the OOGLIEST racers
around)

Now that would certainly increase sales to the younger generations ;)

1988 would be another good one, as there would be a choice of Turbos or
Normally-Aspirated engines, and drivers lie Senna, Prost, Mansell et al
to race against.

Although Papy would probably need to include an option which allows a
host to ban anyone driving the McLaren in online races :-)

My God, your right! This will be brilliant! I'm going to learn to program,
and I'll let you know how I'm getting on with this game next year: "Wacky
Racer Legends" I will NOT be including Rendition support however.

Watson won Detroit CONVICINGLY, too.  I was at that race.  My one and only F1
race.<g>

Well I think everyone would probably end up in a McLaren... with a
yellow helmet :>

I'd definitely agree with that! 1982 has always been one of my favourite
GP years, I even made an '82 GP2 carset which has probably disappeared
in the archives of gp2.com somewhere :-)

Debatable... I quite like them (shape, some liveries are hideous), there is
something pleasing about the purposefulness of the cars. Then again, I
probably have a warped sense of esthetics.

Except for their designation "XK-E" whereas the rest of the world simply
referred to it as the "E-type".

That was a good year, that one.  Was it Win Percy and John Goss (local
driver) who were in the winning car, or Armin Hahn (sp?) with Goss?
I can remember Gossy mentioning that the seat-back broke!

Current F1 cars, both in shape and liveries, have all the aesthetics of a
mud-puddle.
