SCGT SP3 and in-car sound

by SP » Fri, 03 Dec 1999 04:00:00

I may be posting this prematurely since I just installed SP3 and
played it for only a few minutes before leaving for work. But I'm not
getting any in-car sound at all, I know this was a problem to a lesser
extent in the non SP3 version where sounds were just too 'soft' in
relation to other cars. Can I fix this by changing a variable in the
plr profile? I remember the old problem was solved with another third
party freeware application (was it the advanced options editor?) can
this be used after SP3 has been applied? Any help would be
appreciated. Thanks to the Author of SP3 by the way!

The problem is many of the sounds haven't been included.  Somebody
just came out with a small listing of the sounds needed and where to get
them.  Go to gtinsider in the files section and dl a program called:
scgtsoundcheck.zip.  that will tell you where to get the various sound
files needed.  Once you locate a missing file, unzip it into the
scgt\sounds\22hz16bit folder and you will now have noise.
