How do you reset the track records to 0 again??? I have a couple unrealistic
records that are driving my ai to crazy speeds!

go to the track folder open the record.ini with notepad, and i think.... all u
need to do is delete the values beside player and time

Hm, that is for the pictures, but I believe the player.sts (in your
player directory) contains actual best times (it should be the last
best 10 times, even, I believe).
This will make the global hype system make the AI faster. You can turn
that off in one of the ini files, or try moving player.sts out of the
way (back it up first! or just rename it and try).

eeeek u are correct, i didn't realize he meant his own lap times.  Just delete your
player.sts, start gpl go to a track, then exit gpl again.  If you don't want the AI
to go any faster than they do by default with a fresh install (still quite fast)
make your new player.sts read only.
As far as those fast laps go, you can edit your player.ini to remove the offending
times.
