ICR2: Loudon track record and records.txt

by Jerry W » Mon, 03 Jun 1996 04:00:00

Hello!

I visited IVGA's homepage two days ago, and decided to become a
member.  I obtained their free software while I was there.  I tried to
run the software today, but was not successful.  However, I was able
to install the night race patch.  Everything ran fine, but the
'makenite' software failed to copy 'night.pcx' into the Loudon track
directory.  When I ran Loudon (my favorite track), the game somehow
screwed up the records for Loudon.  The game ran fine, but the
records.txt now show Nigel Mansell as the record holder with a speed
of 40.xxx mph, as opposed to Fittipaldi (sp) with a speed of 177.xxx
mph.

Can someone tell me how to edit the 'records.txt' file, so I can fix
this?  Can you also tell me what the correct value is supposed to be?
Not having the correct record in the track doesn't hurt, but it feels
strange seeing Nigel Mansell's name in the menu.

PS:  I just double checked all of my track directories and their
respective 'records.txt'.  It turns out Australia and Detroit also
have Nigel Mansell as the fastest speed record holder.  If this is
false, please tell me the correct values for these tracks also.  Thank
you.
