Can someone fill me in on the information that's in the records file for
each track?  I'm trying to update some of the top speeds and drivers,
but I can't seem to get the mph to come out right in the track. What
information do I have to provide?  I assumed that the 5 digit number on
the second line was the (number of seconds)*(1000) and was used in
conjunction with the track length in miles to get the top speed at the
track, but when I put in a number, e.g. 30000 for 30 seconds, it doesn't
come out at the mph I think it should. What am I missing?

If I sound like a ranting madman, it's probably because of my insanity.
=======================================================================
Who are you and who am I?
You say we know the reason why
Some are born, some men die
Beneath one infinite sky.
There'll be war, there'll be peace
But anything, one day, will cease,
All the iron turned to rust,
All the proud men turned to dust.

Yes, you are right, the number is the number of seconds * 1000.  And yes,
it is supposed to represent the lap time around the track.  However,
Papyrus calculated the lengths of their tracks differently than in real
life.  Therefore one has to do some weird adjustments to get a number
that will match real world records.

There are a couple of people out there that probably have a
"cheat-sheet" already made up for NASCAR 1 & ICR1/2.  Anyone have one
handy?  If there aren't any on a web site, please post them in r.a.s.
and I will put them on the AutoSim site.
