Is it just me of does Nascar 4 simulate some sort of marbles..?

I just completed a 325 laps practice session at Rockingham -  and I could
swear that it simulate some sort of traction-loss outside "the groove".

Anyone else know anything about this or have felt the same thing??

Ed, I think that in all the Papy/Nascar titles that the darkest part of the
groove always provided the most grip, with the least grip being up outside
of the groove......this past weekends races for me at Dover certainly made
me think this, get up out of the groove and all you can do is wait for the
car to hook up again before any kind of steering/stopping/accelerating was
possible......Course, it could be just me :^)

Thats exactly how it feels to me too - Ed :-)

Once you get outside the groove -  you're along for the ride.

I noticed something similar in Nascar Heat, but hadn't picked up on it for
N4.  Perhaps because when I'm up in the marbles in n4 I'm also there because
I've already screwed up.  I'll have to dig back into that again once my
atlon gets fixed.

hehe, I was just trying to sound like a ignorant parent. 324 laps in a
row sounded a little bit too much without a break :)

I don't know if it simulates marbles building up over time (doubt it) but
there is *definately* much less grip out of the groove, it seems like almost
half.
