F1 GT Mod Problem

I downloaded the full version and installed it. In the main folder I have a
file called "F1 2001_FIAGT V2" It says it's a link file but when I click on
it nothing happens......

Is this the shortcut? Right-click the file, and look in the properties: make
sure the target is the executable you're using for the normal game. (I use a
1.0.7.4 no-cd .exe for F1 2001, so I had to adjust the target)

My problem I think is bigger than that. I looked in the GT Vehicle files and
not of them came over from the temp file (where installer is) to my F1
folder. As for the shortcut it leads here. I to am using the nocd patch

"C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\F1 2001\f1_2001.exe"  config=CONFIGFIAGTV2.INI

Hm, the 1.0.7.4 no cd exe hasn't got an underscore in my case, so it's
'F12001.exe'. Maybe you should try installing the Mod again, while making
sure the original exe is in the main folder (for installation purposes
anyway).

(you're clock's fast, btw)

I just renamed the no CD exe to f1_2001.exe, and it worked fine

My problem was solved. What was happening was when I was extracting the
install to a temp folder I didn't have "use folder names" checked. As soon
as i did that it extracted and ran great.

I have the game go back to the desktop when changing cars or track with no
consistency. e.g.. Indy may work one time then the next time crash to the
desktop?
