Start the standard game (F1-2001), choose a player name for yourself. Exit
the standard game then choose that name from the GT mod installer. :-)

9The Posche sounds in the mod sound like an F1 car,  is that right?

Its coming from a clean install of f12001  off the cd

The following have been posted at SimBin:

- Go to your SEASONFIAGTV2/Vehicles folder
- Rename the file 996sounds.sfx to 996GT3sounds.sfx
- Rename the file 996turbosounds.sfx to 996GT2sounds.sfx

Just a guess, but it's probably caused by this

Taken from the Readme

***IMPORTANT NOTE***
There is a small error in the installer at the moment, where a couple of the
files that refer to the sounds for the Porsches are named improperly. After
you have completed the installation, do the following:

- Go to your SEASONFIAGTV2 folder
- Rename the file 996sounds.sfx to 996GT3sounds.sfx
- Rename the file 996turbosounds.sfx to 996GT2sounds.sfx
