...when are you going to fix the AI that was apparently broken with the
patch ?

Pre patch the AI is not worse than usual, post patch it's useless at
certain tracks with low speed corners, try Sears Point if you have
doubts

Nascar Racing 2003.  But then again, it's going to have it's own set of
problems there <G>

Question to Papyrus....

Goy,
Is there any way you could possibly ask David Noonan how much trouble it
would be to see if his converter could do a  N4-to-2002 Martinsville?? Was
hoping maybe the converted version might fix the crazy pacecar problem?
Thanks, Mick

Side note:  I've been asking Papy to respond about the pace car, over on
the Sierra/Papy 2002 forum, and they won't even acknowledge it.. Funny
thing is, when Marty came up, on the CUP schedule, everyone was fired up
asking questions about the pace car going nuts.. So, one of the Papy Mods
started a thread that basically said: "The Papy engineers are going to come
and answer questions about the martinsville pacecar deal, please ask your
questions now.." So about 50 people asked questions... Well, a week went
by, and no reply from Papy.. Then another week with no reply, and most
everybody just quit asking about it.. The next week they removed the
thread, and plan on forgetting about it completely.. I guess they feel if
they acknowledge it, they'll be expected to fix it??  But it looks like
they've moved on to 2003, and are done with 2002...

I've forwarded your other post about the subject to him

Trouble is, it's not a small job to convert a track and getting the AI
right, which I assume the pacecar is part of (?), it is one of the more
laborious task of it all, so even though converting the track in itself
to be driveable is done in a couple of hours, the rest, AI, pits, fixing
up the Gfx glitches and stuff like that is quite time consuming

I'm not saying he won't do it, I'm just saying it's quite a lot of work
to do it.....

Of course, there was always the option of doing it right in the first
place; it was a known problem in N4, so no excuse for it getting into N2002
too.......................dope slap, right in the first place ?

  What AM I thinking, lol.

No worries Mick, and even though we do provide a great service at "The
Pits" :-), it is a bit easier for us, we don't have anyone to answer to
but our visitors, and they all know we do whatever it is we do for free
and give us a lot of leeway, so the comparison isn't quite fair, but
much appreciated nonetheless :-)

Hope you get your track Mick.....
