Glide version for GPL 1.1

Now that I'm running GPL 1.1, can I safely delete the Glide 2.43 DLL
that's in my GPL directory and let it use the latest installed version
(2.46 I believe)? Also, what is this "Glide wrapper" that people are
talking about? Is there any reason to use it if you are not using force
feedback?

I should hope so.

I think it is a Glidem emulator for non 3dfx cards. I would expect
that it wouldn't work very well.

I don't think that Glide has anything to do with FF.

I did some more checking and found that the "glide wrapper" is for use
with Voodoo 3 cards AND/OR for being able to set options such as a
lower refresh rate for the mirrors. The connection with FF is that
using FF seems to lower the frame rate on some systems, and by using
this wrapper along with reduced mirror refresh rate, you can get back
some of your lost FPS. Reducing the mirror refresh might also improve
the frame rate on anyone's PC that is having trouble maintaining 36FPS.
