Well, as the subject says: is there any danger in using the 1.1. patch
for any "non-US" versions of the sim? You know,... I am talking about
those versions, which ask you to put on the CD every time you start
the sim...

PS2 Is there any way of checking the "nationality" of my GPL version?
    Mine says only "1.0.0". No mention to the "nationality". But it
    doesn't work without the CD, though... So "non-American"?

I have the British version and am now totally screwed. I did a new clean
install, applied the patch and voilla....No more online racing. I tried
about 8 online races last night. The field was invisible for about 3/4 of
the track, cars were warping and going slomo then speeding up to rediculous
speeds, I was unable to get a qualifying time and got a pit in board after
the first lap of every race. Upon stopping at the pits, thee ewre no
messages on the board and I just sat there like a lemon in the stall. BTW I
know all about core.ini and settings before anyone replies to this one! I
spent hours trying various settings and using other files that some of the
guys on GSB were kind enough to send over.

Mark. (Not impressed and going back to 1.0

I don't have first hand experience, but just read on another thread-
if the menus are English and it requires the CD, it's the UK version.
