Lemans for F1 2001 installation problems

   One thing I just found.  If you choose the default path the pathway looks
like this.
C:\program files\E A Sports\F1 2001\
but if you manualy browse to the same location, this is what you get:
C:\program files E A Sports\ F1 2001

there is no \ at the end of the line and all the new Le2k1 folders get made
OUTSIDE of the F1 2001 folder.
  Unfortunately you can't just type in the \ or type in the full path...so
that is a problem they must address as well.
  The ini file contains at least one error...they have
[sound]
isused=0 and it should be:

[sound]
isused=1

There is one fix on the website for those who have problems getting Audis to
load, but the title still ctd's when I try a quick race.

I have put up a new exe on the support site.
I do not have win98, so I cannot unfortunately test it for issues, but it
should work.

Feel free to try it.

Remember to set the quickrace startposition to something other than 2001
Season :-)
Dave Henrie is correct about the typo in the ini-file regarding the sounds.

    I just did a real quick test of the updated installer exe and it seems
to work great now.   There is a small text file change that is also
recomended at the website.  Just use notepad to cut and paste the text at
the site with the new info...That will set your race start to 10th and you
should be good to go.

Dave,

I think to fix your CTD try the following:

In the game settings reduce the number of opponents (AI) drivers to 16 and
racing order of RANDOM.

That fixed it for me after a manual install.
