DOWNloaded and installed but when i load the game only f12001 original
start....why?

What I did, when I installed ALMS2001, I renamed config.ini >config1.ini
then I renamed alms2001.ini > config.ini. Check your Readme file

Your new Shortcut must look like this :

"C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\F1 2001\F1_2001.exe" config=LM99CONFIG.INI

Any changes you want (running 3D config) to do (resolution whise) after the
initial set-up must afterwards be manually done (copy from config.ini &
paste to LM99CONFIG.INI).

   Rather than renaming your config.ini  which probably would***up your
F1.  A better way is to open both files the original config.ini file and the
lm99config.ini file with a text editor.
basically just make sure everything below the line:
Gridsize = 22
in the mod ini matches the original .ini file.
That way your shortcuts and mods will keep working without having to rename
the config files each time you want to mess with f1 or another mod.  Each
mod will have it's own config.ini file(usually named with part of the mod
included: like configFIAGT_V3.ini)
  They all can differ in the upper half of the lines of text, but the lower
half, from gridsize = 22 on down should all match up.
