F1RS want better FPS? READ HERE!!

There are 4 different scenerios that make the game much faster, they
are :

1. Goto your f1rs/cpa/dll/Snd cna.ini file and look for SXD DIST SATUR=5
and SXD DIST FADE=75
2. Change the SATUR=5 to =1 then change the FADE=75 to =15
(This will lower the distance and number of competitors you can
hear, hence increasing framerate)
3. Goto your Control Panel/System/Performance(TAB). Now click Virtual
Memory box.
Now choose the "let me specify my own virtual memory" option.
Then change the Minimum setting to 126 and the Maximum to 128
  4. Turn replays "off"
  5. Turn sky "off" (The clouds go by so fast, it's notious!)

I think that covers it. If I've left something out folks, let it be
heard.
With these changes the game "FLYS" on my P200/Monster3d/32meg system

BTW- if you pick the view in the game, where you see just your nosecone
and wheels instead of the***pit, the framerate goes up considerably
also.
Hope this helps
