NFS:SE and T2 -- please help me.

by Steve Clemets » Thu, 11 Jul 1996 04:00:00

I just picked up NFS:SE and the T2 the other night and am having some
problems.  While I can calibrate the T2 in Win95 with no problems, the
Win95 version of NFS:SE won't recognize the gear shift (on the T2)
during calibration.

If I run the DOS version of NFS:SE, it does recognize it when I tap
the gear shift.  I tried running the JCU with Win95 to no avail.  I
configured my T2 in Windows as the T2 manual recommended (Custom
controller, etc.) in the Win95 joystick control panel.

Additionally, I am plugged into the adapter that came with my T2, so
both the wheel and pedals are plugged into the same port on my
Thrustmaster ACM card.

If anyone can help me out here, I'd really appreciate it.  I'd prefer
to be running NFS from within Win95.

Thanks in advance.

Make sure you change the setting in Control Panel/Joystick
to custom : 2 buttons, 2 axes and special features-is a racing
car controller. Hope this helps.

Why ?  The sound( and sometimes video too) in Win95 is quite
bad, it sounds like it has a lot of statics.  When I run it in Dos,
it is perfect.  (Oh well, maybe my 3X CDROM is not fast enough)
